As expressed in Lao Tzu’s saying “The way to doing is through being”, the quality of one’s action varies according to one’s consciousness and understanding.

Every human being is in action. However, actions taken without ‘being’, that is, without reaching a certain level of ‘conscious awareness’ in a sense, may remain at a more reactive level. In this case, the impact and sustainability of the action remain in a limited area.

One’s reactions to the situation, behaviors and actions are reflections of one’s current consciousness. The higher the person’s awareness level rises (or expands and deepens), the higher (or wider and deeper) the quality of action is. Only individuals who recognize their true self (or the truth in themselves) can perform more creative, effective and serene actions. In this case, their actions will gain a more inclusive and timeless quality.

The contribution of individuals on the journey of self-knowledge and self-realization to social development is in proportion to their progress in their journey. Hence, one’s approach (perspective) developed against situations and naturally our suggested solutions in parallel are also directly proportional to this progress.

It is possible to describe this approach with the ‘iceberg metaphor‘ (with the analogy of ‘iceberg’). The visible part of the iceberg above the water is one nineth of the total iceberg. While the visible part of the iceberg corresponds to the ‘symptoms’ and ‘reactions’ of events, the deeper, generally unseen and incomprehensible realm needs to be discovered and understood. As a matter of fact, as we go deeper, below the visible part, the fundamental elements at the root of the symptoms and behaviors appear as ‘feelings, thoughts, acceptances, beliefs, values and identities’, hidden in the ‘meaning we give to life’ that constantly feeds them all. The development of human consciousness is directly related to one’s ability and flexibility to constantly question the information, experiences and observations and to think deeply.

As the Sun of Wisdom Association and the Sun of Humanity Foundation; we have adopted the principle of striving to look at, see and understand the subjects of ‘individual development’, ‘social development’ and life as a whole from a wider perspective. This is why; we consider the balance of being and doing, and we pay attention to the principle of taking action from ‘becoming’ (deep structure) while generating ideas and realizing projects. For this reason, we are aware of the importance of ‘mind and heart balance’, ‘awareness and understanding of integrity’ and ‘inclusiveness with transcendence’ in our thoughts, behaviors and actions.

While performing actions and producing solutions, we strive to perceive all life through the ‘whole’ and as a whole, to respond rather than react, and to be more inclusive and enlightening with the awareness that today’s solutions may be a problem in the future and/or in another understanding/belief dimension.

That’s why our main motto is; “We adopt a ‘Learning Organization’ culture that constantly learns, shares as it learns, and develops as it shares.” We intend and strive to transform this approach into a sustainable and shared ‘Corporate Culture’.
