As expressed in Lao Tzu's saying "The way to doing is through being", the quality of one's action varies according to one's consciousness and understanding. Every human being is in action. However, actions taken without 'being', that is, without reaching a certain level of 'conscious awareness' in a sense, may remain at a more reactive level. In this case, the impact and sustainability of the action remain in a limited area.
Since 1990, the theory developed together with the Wisdom Sun Association, the Sun of Humanity Foundation and the companions of its founder Mualla Güven has been called the 'M-Discipline'. This discipline is the fundamental approach that forms the basis of the institutional structure and action culture of the Sun of Humanity Foundation and is taken as a reference guide in all its activities.
Studies on human consciousness continue to bring new horizons to the adventure of knowing ourselves. Philosophies and approaches to human being in eastern and western cultures and science have started to complement each other, especially with the recent developments. With today's understanding, we can now see much more easily that ancient knowledge and scientific approaches are complementary sides of the same coin. In the light of all this, we also witness that humanity is recreating its own reality every day
The solution of the problems experienced and the rise of societies can only be realized with the increase of people's awareness and taking responsibility. Awareness will also improve people's ability to compromise and act together, and it will be understood that people are members of a large humanity family in an interconnected wholeness, almost like cells of a single body.
We have determined our vision and mission statements, shared values and goals through professional processes and workshops in which all our members participated and contributed. In 2004, we needed a more comprehensive study on our shared values. We conducted a series of workshops to mature our shared language and to define and understand our shared values.
In June 2000, one year after our foundation, we started our Corporate Identity work in order to recognize our Foundation with the right criteria, to define our corporate culture and to create a common language and unity of meaning.

In the mid-eighties, we started our journey by trying to discover the meaning of life, aiming to know our real selves and trying to realize the values and beauties of being a real human being. From the beginning, our inspiration was the philosophy and work of our founder Mualla Sevim Güven. The increase of awareness about being human and the realization of this awareness, also led and pioneered us in the creation of an institutional structure.
